Rain returns to the Northland beginning tonight into Tuesday morning. There is a 20% chance of non-severe thunderstorms in this time period for the Brainerd Lakes and east-central Minnesota. The heaviest rainfall is expected Tuesday morning and with thunderstorms in the afternoon/evening. An isolated severe thunderstorm producing large hail to around 1" and wind gusts to 50-60 mph cannot be ruled out late Tuesday afternoon to mid-evening in inland northwest Wisconsin.
